A full 3D map composed of various buildings modeled in Blender. A camera was positioned throughout the city map to capture POV shots to use as backgrounds to animate over. The camera was also animated for a few scenes to simulate movement through the city streets.

Characters

Arc 9 is the story of 9 cousins: Duce, Ashleigh, Olivia, Jackie, Keith, Becca, Andrew, Ella, and Jack, each of which control one core element of the universe. The main cast, and the characters this trailer follows is Keith and his sisters Jackie and Ella. Their universe was created by 4 core elemental deities uniting their powers for the sake of creation. These four elements, Water, Fire, Stone, and Wind eventually created sub elements, Ice, Lightning, Metal, and Sound. A cosmic mistake combined the elements for the worse and created the element Aether: an unpredictable and unstable element, akin to antimatter with ties to space, gravity and who knows what else. Not only is Aether the element Keith has come to control, but the Aether Deity itself is who threatens the Earth today. Strange creatures attack the city, but Keith soon realizes they're after him, or more specifically the crystal shard he protects that gave the family their powers in the first place.

Keith is the central character of Arc 9. Being a fan of all things Superhero growing up, this whole endeavor has been a dream come true to him. This is everything he's ever wanted and he's ready for the family to step up and be heroes. However, seeing his family's less than enthusiasm and the real danger that comes with the job, he works on both reining in his own excitement to a safer level while still trying to convince the rest of the family to start enjoying themselves a bit.

As the one most knowledgable about pop culture and the genre they now find themselves in, Keith often acts as the leader, coaching the others through learning their powers as well as giving orders and strategy in battle.

Jackie

Element: Fire

Family Position: #4

Jackie is hot headed but well meaning. She has zero interest in being a superhero and wants nothing to do with this elemental war nonsense. The only reason she's here is to make sure her siblings, Keith and Ella, don't get themselves killed playing hero. Her skepticism keeps Keith grounded while he constantly tries to get her to embrace their new life.

She takes inspiration from her softball background, pitching high speed, highly explosive fireballs at her foes.

Ella

Element: Water

Family Position: #8

Ella is the perfect in-between for her older siblings. She enjoys having superpowers and is very open to the idea of being a hero. However, she has no interest in dying for the cause and helps Jackie pull Keith back to reality when his excitement takes over.

Active in her schools color guard, she combines flag twirling with her water attacks, and learns flag work isn't too different from spear fighting.
